Getting our house ready!

My husband Chris and I are both type A people. That means we have lists and timelines for everything. I am a very visual person. Although I love technology, I still need to visually see on paper and pen what needs to be done (and I love to add cute little boxes next to each item on the list so I can check it off when it is done).
In order to successfully make this big move, we need to sell our house! In 2017, I sold our first home on Facebook. The market was hot and inventory was low. I took pictures and made a post on the local buy/sell boards. Within 24 hours we had a buyer. I am hoping to do something similar with this home. Inventory is extremely low in our quaint little neighborhood. I am anticipating to start with word of mouth and some social media posts. If we do not get any bites by Memorial Day weekend we will list our home officially. That gives us a little over a week and a half to check everything off of our to do list and start the process!

About Me

Hi There! I’m Nicole!
I’m a girl who loves shopping, decorating and cooking. I have a degree in fashion merchandising and a masters in elementary education. With very active 11 year old triplets and a sassy little 7 year old, life is never quiet.
For years we have talked about moving our family of 6 down south. Every time we travel to the southern states we don’t understand why we come home. We are a family that loves being outdoors and enjoys the constant warmer weather. However, it’s hard taking the plunge. Leaving both of our careers and uprooting our kids from their friends and family to live someplace almost 1000 miles away.
We decided this summer will be it! We will be taking the “talk of moving” and making it a reality. Putting our NY house up on the market and taking a chance will be the first step. We will look for new jobs, schools, and activities for the kids. This blog will document all the good, the bad and the ugly throughout the process of spontaneously moving a family to another state.
